We Believe: - There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. - He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. - He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. - The Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. -Heaven is a free gift that cannot be earned, deserved or merited. (Eph. 2:8-9) -Man is a sinner and cannot save himself. (Romans 3:23) -God is both loving and just. In His love, He doesn’t want to punish man for his sin, but in His justice He must. (1 John 4:8; Exodus 34:7) -God solved our sin problem in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man—the Perfect God/Man. (John 3:16) -Jesus lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and rose from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins and purchase a place in Heaven for us. (1 Cor. 15:3ff) -The gift of eternal life in Heaven is received by a living Faith in Jesus Christ—a faith that places complete and total trust in Jesus alone for eternal life. (Rom. 6:3-4, 23) -One who desires a relationship with Jesus must do so on God’s terms: Acts 2:38: Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. -The Holy Spirit is given to those who yield their lives to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to His children to use to build up the church family, and to reach out to the lost world. -All of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. We believe in practicing those gifts with love and in an orderly fashion, per the apostle Paul’s instructions in 1 Corinthians 12 thru 14. -We encourage freedom in worship—to sit, stand, kneel, dance, raise hands, according to what helps you to worship God most sincerely. (Psalm 150:4)
